Bassano del Grappa

Bassano del Grappa is a medieval town located in the province of Vicenza, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Due to its nearby location to the Alps, the architecture of the town has a decidedly Austrian flavor intermixed with the typical charming Veneto-style of arcaded streets and piazzas. Bassano del Grappa is most famous for its covered bridge, the Ponte degli Alpini, originally built over the Brenta river in 1569. Bassano del Grappa is also known for its strong grappa liqueur production, as well as locally produced ceramics.
